8/10/2024 from Seattle, Washington to San Diego, California on a Baltic 42

OPO Crew Request # 24-58 XXXXXX is seeking two crew to join him and another sailor on a trip from Seattle, Washington to San Diego, California with a stop in San Francisco. The boat is a Baltic 42 DP named XXXXXX. He would like crew to arrive at Elliott Bay Marina in Seattle on August 9, 2024 with a departure planned for August 10, 2024. This is a 1500 mile passage and crew should plan on 15 days for the trip. Both the skipper and the current crew have offshore experience and he would like crew to have some offshore experience as well. He writes: Fury is a 1982 Baltic 42 DP in excellent condition. She's had a recent refit including new rod standing rigging, Vesper AIS, B and G chart plotter, B and G auto pilot, B and G radar, new inner forestay with staysail and storm jib, Hydrovane, life raft, lots of new running rigging and new electric heads. She's currently berthed in Seattle, WA and headed south to San Diego, CA in August. The plan is to depart on or around August 10th, depending on weather, stay offshore 50 nm with a stop in San Francisco for provisions, fuel and an option for crew change. I anticipate only spending a couple days in San Francisco before returning to sea for the second leg offshore down to San Diego. The whole trip should take about 2 weeks, weather dependent. I am looking for 2 crew to join me and one other crew already committed for a total of 4 on board. Crew should have some offshore experience and be able to stand a night watch. With 4 crew, I plan to do a 2hrs. on, 6 hrs. off watch rotation. Crew should have a positive attitude and be a team player. Crew are responsible for transportation to and from the boat with onboard expenses covered. Contact him by email at XXXXX@XXXX
