OPO Crew Request # 24-103 Boat owner XXXXXX is seeking an additional crew to help sail from Aruba to Sint Maarten. The boat is a 2015 Beneteau 55. He has 35 years' experience and 23 years of boat ownership from 42 to 55 feet in length. This is a great opportunity to meet a boat owner and his family who is looking to make friends to join him for longer sails in the future. Here is his crew request in his own words. He e-mails: The boat crossed the Atlantic in the ARC in 2022, and made the voyage to the Northeast U.S. in 2023 and has all safety equipment required for safe and comfortable offshore sailing. All equipment serviced and many spare parts onboard. Owner will be onboard for the passage. The vessel has all the sailing gear it can have and comfort equipment. Owner would love to develop a relationship with a crew who may make further passages up within the Caribbeans and Latin America. USA or Canadian passport holders only. Previous offshore experience preferred. Needs to be able to stand a solo watch. All onboard expenses covered. Possibility to cover partial flight costs for the right crew. Planned departure is between November 8-15, weather depending. Distance approx. 540 NM or 4-5 days. Sail nonstop unless weather or equipment failure. He is offering to help with travel expenses in compensation for the right crew. He includes: you can also offer to pay your own way if you think that will help you get aboard.
