If you think you are or would have been interested in sailing aboard one of the offshore passage opportunities than it is a good indication that you should join OPO. Once you become a member you do not need to come back to the message board as the opportunities will be e-mailed to you as they come up.

OPO Crew Request # 23-130 OPO Crew Request # 23-130 29 March 2024 4900 n miles - 70 days (30 days for Nuku Hiva) Panama City to French Polynesia, April/May 2024 - Boat owner and Captain XXXXXX is looking for one crewmember with significant open water experience to complete a crew of three for an April passage from Panama City to the Marquesas. The vessel is a 1997 Morris 46 named XXXXXX in excellent condition, properly fitted out for the voyage with safety equipment and boat hardware. The starting date is flexible in the first week of April depending on crew requirements. We foresee further cruising during May in the Marquesas and Tuamotu Archipelago before arriving in Papeete, Tahiti. The crew is welcome to continue to Tahiti. The skipper and first mate/cook have been sailing cruising boats for 13 years including North Atlantic crossings and New England/Caribbean passages. A travel stipend can be considered. The passage is free with all onboard expenses included, but plan on having money for shoreside stops along the way.
