Non-OPO members are welcome to view our message board. You will notice that we do not post contact information. If you think you are or would have been interested in sailing aboard one of the offshore passage opportunities than it is a good indication that you should join OPO. Once you become a member you do not need to come back to the message board as the opportunities will be e-mailed to you as they come up.

OPO Crew request # 23-124 Updated I spoke with boat owner and skipper XXXXXX this afternoon. He lost his crew since he diverted to Bermuda for weather. Another window is opening up this weekend. He would like crew to arrive Friday or Sat as early as possible. But crew need to have flexibility just in case the window closes and this 850 miles 6 days passage is once again delayed. Mike has an older 1984 Swan 51 centerboard named “Atratus” (Black Swan) that he lives aboard. He has many miles sailing. The boat is strong and pretty well equipped if not perfect. The one thing to note is that he is a smoker so if cigarette smoke bothers you, please do not apply. The passage is free with all onboard expenses included, but you need to get to and from the boat and have money for any shoreside meals and drinks.
