If you think you are or would have been interested in sailing aboard one of the offshore passage opportunities than it is a good indication that you should join OPO. Once you become a member you do not need to come back to the message board as the opportunities will be e-mailed to you as they come up.

OPO Crew request # 23-39 Boat owner and skipper XXXXXX is looking for one more crew to help sail his 2000 Contest 48 CS named XXXXXX north. He has owned her for seven years named. Crew should have offshore experience and be able to stand a solo watch. There will be a total of four crew. The other crew are his wife and 28-year-old son. Both are capable experienced crew. He was referred to us by another happy boat owners who has done our NAR XXXXXX three times and gotten crew from us several times. He Adds: Ernestina is a heavy, safe, comfortable center-cockpit cruising yacht with 6 berths in 3 cabins, 2 heads with showers. Cutter rigged sloop. She has EPIRB, zodiac 6-man life raft, spinlock offshore life jackets with AIS beacons, offshore Danbuoy, AIS, broadband radar, Satellite phone. The passage is free with all onboard provisions and boat expenses covered, but you need to get to and from the boat and have money for shoreside meals and drinks.
