5/25/2023 from Marsch Harbor Bahamas to Herrington Harbor Chesapeake Bay on a Tayana 48DS

OPO Crew Request # 23-21 Boat owner XXXXXX is looking for two experienced crew to help sail his 2006 Tayana 48DS Bob Perry designed (modified version with deck salon) bluewater cruiser named Oasis. He Adds: Marsh Harbor to Herrington Harbor is the plan. Sometime in May. Really flexible and would consider shorter hops if necessary. She is fully equipped for offshore and cruising. Fuel-160gals, Water-250gals + watermaker, solar, generator, 100HP Yanmar, cutter rigged- yankee(electric), staysail, cruising spinnaker and main(in boom). I'm looking for experienced crew as I don't have as much offshore experience as I wish. and my wife is more a passenger than a watch stander. We started sailing 10 years ago and I have done lots of racing inshore and have had a J28 for 8 years. I have ASA 101,103,104,105,106 and my wife has ASA 101,103,104. I did a Salty Dawg Rally to Antigua on a friends HR37 and liked it a lot and then (foolishly?) bought the Tayana 48DS last year and brought it back from Antigua with David Lyman's help. I took the Tayana to the Bahamas last Fall and need help getting her home as my normal crew is unavailable. Want 2 experienced offshore crew. One important note- my electric headsail furler died and I have to go forward to furl the yankee- not ideal. Will have to sail conservatively and make use of the staysail. Plan is to rerig it once I get back to the States as getting things done here is tough. The passage us free with all onboard boat expenses and all provisioning included. He will also pay travel expenses within reason for the right two crew, maybe a couple of teo friends. If in please send your sailing resume and phone number and be ready to ask a few questions to XXXXX@XXXX
