OPO e-mail # 23-16 XXXXXX and skipper David DePree has a 2011 Beneteau 54 Oceanis sailboat named Atonement. He is looking for crew to sail Atonement from St. Augustine, FL to Norfolk, VA during the first week of May 2023. Voyage is approximately 4-5 days depending upon weather, so block out the week to allow for weather window. David got crew from us last fall for the passage south and it went well. He adds: Atonement includes 3 cabins, 2 heads, and a full galley. She has new roller reefing mainsail and genoa, XXXXXX asymmetrical spinnaker, and 110hp Yanmar diesel engine to get us where we need to go. New electronics include chart plotter, auto pilot, wind, speed, and depth. Cummins generator and AC and heat provide comfort as needed. XXXXXX 54 is a smooth, comfortable ride in all conditions at 30,000 lbs. displacement, 6’ draft, and 16’ beam. Average hull speed is 7.0 – 8.0 knots. She’s fully loaded with all necessary safety gear to include AIS, EPIRB, life raft, jack lines, PFD’s, ditch bag, damage control kit, fire extinguishers, and more. Owner is an experienced Atlantic sailor with several blue water voyages to include Marion to Bermuda race, Bahamas, and offshore coastal USA. He also obtained a U XXXXXX XXXXXX XXXXXX Owner provides fuel, food, water and grog. The passage is free with all onboard expenses included, but you need to get to and from the boat.
