3/15/2023 from Panama / Galapagos to Marquesas on a Leopard 45

OPO e-mail # 22-154 Boat owner, Stephan Le Goueff, has a well outfitted 2019 Leopard 45 named GLAM. They are looking for one or two crew for this 3000 NM leg from the Galapagos Islands to the Marquesas (French Polynesia) There will be a total of 3-4 crew. In addition to Stephan, OPO Member XXXXXX, will join for the passage. XXXXXX has been sailing aboard for a while so you will be the new crew in the mix. They wish to have extra crew for this long leg, as his wife and child may skip this leg. He emphasizes “to us, most important is to have someone that will fit int the team, and will have good spirit and sailing experience (preferably on catamaran)” He writes in his e-mails: Glam is well equipped for blue water sailing. Since we purchased her last year, we sailed from Ft Lauderdale to Annapolis, back to Ft Lauderdale and then to Grenada, via a number of Caribbean islands, where we left her for hurricane season. We are now in Columbia on our way to Panama where we plan to cross in Feb to the Galapagos and then in March to the Marquesas in French Polynesia. The current crew is XXXXXX, who has some 50 years of sailing under his belt, and myself (approx. 5000 NM). The anticipated schedule is flexible but the current plan is : 15-21 Feb: Panama Canal crossing21-28 Feb: Panama- Galapagos passage1-15 March: Stay in Galapagos16 March – 7 – 15 April Galapagos – Marquesas crew can join us either in Panama or Galapagos, as desired. The passage is free with all onboard expenses included. Plus, you need to have money for meals, drinks and entertainment ashore. Entry tax and administrative fees will be paid and ½ of travel expenses within reason (economy). If interested please send your sailing resume to Stephen at XXXXX@XXXX ”
