7/4/2022 from Bermuda to Annapolis on a Hylas 49

OPO e-mail # 22-72 We met XXXXXX when I ran over to take the lines of his Hylas 49 as he was doing an excellent job of sailing his boat into the Customs dock on Ordinance Island in Bermuda. He and crew then sailed down to the Dinghy Club to await repairs to their starter motor. The boat sailed in the Annapolis to Bermuda Race. Soon after they left to sail back the starter on the engine died. The shop in Bermuda tried to fix it but it ended up that they had to fly a new one in. XXXXXX and crew decided they had run out of time and were leaving the boat in Hamilton Bermuda until the July 4th holiday. XXXXXX would like to depart July 4th so will be flying in a day or two before. He is looking for two or three crew. The boat has all the safety gear to qualify for the race including life-raft, EPIRB, Iridium Go etc. If you are short on time you can get off the boat in Norfolk and save the day up the Bay to Annapolis. The passage is free with all onboard expenses included, but as usual you need to get to and from the boat. If interested please e-mail XXXXXX your sailing resume to XXXXX@XXXX
