6/25/2022 from Bermuda to Larchmont NY (Long Island Sound NY) on a JPK 1080

OPO e-mail # 22-67 Skipper and navigator XXXXXX is looking for one crew to make the return passage after the race this year. There are over 200 boats departing Newport this Friday June 17th. Here is a boat looking for one more experienced crew for the return passage. There will be a lot of boats heading back to the US at the same weather window after the awards. Do ask how stripped out the boat might be, but I am sure it will not be as bad as some boast that have no floorboards or cushions to save weight, but you never know. The boat is a JPK 1080,a 35.5 foot racer/cruiser. He Adds: The Boat We’ve had a lot of race success in her the last few years: 2020 Caribbean 600: 1st in class, 3rd overall; 2019 Marblehead-Halifax: 1st in class and 5th overall; 1st in class Vineyard Race (2019, 2020, 2021) to name a fewShe’s very well maintained and a very sound offshore boat (she was previous owned by Mr JPK - Jean Pierre Kelbert who soloed her across the Atlantic)She’s actually pretty comfortable down below - and we have sleeping bags et al. Will also have lifejackets - but not foul weather gear for crew. Needs Need an experienced sailor for the delivery from Bermuda to Long Island Sound (Larchmont/NY area). Crew needs to be comfortable standing watch alone. Return crew will be me (skipper and navigator) plus one other experience sailor (plus the autopilot!)My experience: RYA Yachtmaster Offshore; over 10,000 miles offshore racing/cruising; 3 Fastnets; 2 Sydney-Hobarts; 1 Newport Bermuda; 1 Caribbean 600. We plan to leave Bermuda early on June 26th (Sunday) along with many other boats… weather permitting. Crew should plan to fly out Friday or Saturday. We have an AIRBNB/the boat to stay on. If interested the passage is free with all onboard expenses included and a boat to stay on when you arrive in Bermuda. You need to get to and from the boat. If interested please send your sailing resume to XXXXX@XXXX
