6/14/2021 from Charleston, NC to Norfolk, VA on a Nonsuch 33

OPO e-mail # 21-38 New OPO member OPOOPO is looking for one crew or a couple to help him take his 2005 Nonsuch 33 OPOOPO north. Steve’s goal is to sail up the coast. If weather is unfavorable, he will motor north on the ICW. He is a new boat owner. He is looking for an experienced sailor for the passage on this very spacious, easy to sail, Nonsuch (built in Ontario, Canada.) The trip is free with all onboard expenses and provisions included. You should have money for meals and drinks ashore. For the right crew, he will pay travel either to or from the boat, within reason. If interested, please send your sailing resume to him at XXXXX@XXXX The following are notes from him about himself and the boat. The Owner: OPOOPO Retired, first time boat owner, small boat sailor who has bareboat chartered 40 ft sailboats on four occasions. I bought WINDSONG in April. In May I brought her from Stuart, FL to Fernandina Beach on the ICW and motored outside from Fernandina to Charleston, NC. My first mate was an experienced coastal sailor who has owned a Nonsuch for 15 years. I have the passion, but need coaching and guidance for the next leg of my journey to eventually get to Narragansett Bay! The Boat: S/v WINDSONG 2005 Nonsuch - 33 ft, 12.5 ft beam, 5’5 ft draft, 59 ft height. A cat boat design with an unstayed mast set far forward Single sail (approx. 670 sq ft) with Wishbone boom Two staterooms, one head, generous salon, efficient galley, 6’6” headroom below. Raymarine electronics with latest Navionics charts
