1/21/2021 from Port Camargue., France to Florida on a Passport

OPO e-mail # 20-76 Pro skipper OPOOPO has been zeroing in on final details for this delivery and now wishes to speak with potential crew. This is a great opportunity to pass the finale few months of Covid. The trip is free with all onboard and boat expenses paid for. OPOOPO can offer a travel stipend to experienced crew. I have known OPOOPO since the early 1990’s. Here is how he explains the passage opportunity and his starting search for crew: “I have a committed delivery of an OutreMer 45 catamaran from France to Florida. This is a long and complex trip requiring good planning and good crew. Covid-19 remains a significant wildcard. The destination airport is MontPellier in the south of France MPL, where I will rent a car for a few days of preparation in Port Camargue. The boat is essentially new, 2019 model. It is typically well rigged for this brand of catamaran. It is a performance cat and the trip will prove dynamic and exciting. The trip will take 4-6 weeks duration, with possible stops in La Linea, Spain (Gibraltar) and Gran Canaria, maybe a stop in the Caribbean before finishing in either Key West or Ft. Lauderdale. The exact dates are flexible, at the moment. I will probably fly there 2nd or 3rd week of January 2021. I will need two or three able bodied sailors, adventurous sorts, with time to spare. The voyage will be 10-15 days from France to the Canary Islands, then 20-25 days nonstop to Florida, if all goes well. Ideally, the crew would be continuous, but if needed, there are two possible transit stops, as mentioned. At the moment, we can enter France with a <72 hour negative Covid-19 test. A TWIC card would certainly help. I will provide letters of introduction and intent as Essential Transportation Workers going to their ship in the south of France. I’m hoping that will do it. The test is crucial and critical. Passport of course.” If interested please send your sailing resume and contact information to OPOOPO at XXXXX@XXXX Skype: virgincapt
