Message Board: Sailing Opportunities

Non-OPO members are welcome to view our message board. You will notice that we do not post contact information. If you think you are or would have been interested in sailing aboard one of the offshore passage opportunities than it is a good indication that you should join OPO. Once you become a member you do not need to come back to the message board as the opportunities will be e-mailed to you as they come up.

In seconds you can become an OPO member like so many other pleased captains and crew.

8/18/2019 from Martha’s Vineyard to York River, Chesapeake Bay on a Bavaria

OPO e-mail # 19-63 Boat owner and skipper OPOOPO is looking for 1 more crew to sail with him on his Bavaria 46 from Martha’s Vineyard back to his home port on the OPOOPO Dennis had crew lined up for the trip to and from OPOOPO but one OPO members had to cancel for good reason so he is looking for one more replacement crew. Crew can travel to the boat on August 18th for departure the 19th and of course stay aboard that night after seeing Martha’s Vineyard for one day. There are ferries from OPOOPO RI as well as OPOOPO MA to the island The boat is a 2014 and Dennis has owned her since new. He has made several trips between Charleston and the Bay and the boat is equipped for offshore with life raft and Epirb etc. The trip will take about 3nights in a straight shot so plan for 4 to 5 days with travel to and from the boat. The trip is free with all onboard expenses included, but you need to get to and from the boat. If interested in this return leg please e-mail Dennis with your sailing resume to XXXXX@XXXX
