Purchasing and planning your offshore adventure
If you know for sure that you want to spend more time sailing offshore. If you have toyed with the idea of buying and outfitting a boat to go long distance cruising and played with the numbers in your head, have a seat with one of our representatives and start firming up those plans to make it a reality.

Fractional Ownership

Ideally one person would finance one boat, however we can offer ½ shares and 1/3 shares. The less people involved the better as far as pleasing everyone.

Fractional owners will be able to

Make one or more offshore passages a year taking the "mates bunk" on passages.
Be able to charter the boat for at least one week and perhaps more with friends and family in during the 5 winter months.

Profit on sale of boats at the end of the term
Option to sell their fraction to someone else (some liquidity)
The owner my qualify or work towards becoming a skipper and deriving more revenue as a paid skipper.
And most important - they can take a boat out of the program for an extended time away for a fee, and then put the boat back into the program after their sabbatical. We would be able to offer them an upgrade in boat as long as they were available. Ie: If they owned the offshore training model they would be able to charter or take a year off on the # 2 Model. Or if they own the # 2 model they would be able to sail the luxury # 3 Model.

Targeting investors:
Most people do not have the time or the money to make the full time commitment often needed to buy, outfit, and maintain a boat for year round cruising. However many people would be interested if they could have a boat part of the year without the full time expense.

More people have expressed an interest in cruising part of the year since their family or spouses are not as interested in the sailing as they are. Not only could we provide them with the boat, but also supply crew.

Many people are interested in planning one year off or a circumnavigation in the future, but will never get there because of the time and effort (and money) it takes to get ready. We will take care of purchasing and equipping the boat for them. They will get to sail aboard the boat or a sistership every year, learning the boat and her systems, leading up to their departure. Most boat owners buy the boat and spend so much time getting her ready for sea, that they do not sail the boat or know it welll and do not have the "bugs" worked out before departure Sailing in our program, they will learn how to sail offshore from our professional skippers and also get to know the boats and systems long before they plan to depart as captain.

Many people also have the dream to buy a boat and become a lone charter operator. The problem with this is that they have trouble lining up the next charter while they are busy with present ones. By buying into our program, and learning from our skippers, they will be trained and with the right personality, can graduate to being one of our skippers on their own boat for several months a year. This is a much better way for people who are interested in one day running their own charter owner/operated program than trying to make it on their own.
