Editorial
This time of year we are most interested in sailing and planning an offshore trip or two. So I will have less editorial and let you go back your bags to get ready for the next offshore passage.
I leave Monday Oct 1st at noon with OPO members sailing to the Annapolis Boat Show. Since I do not have a booth I can not get discount tickets to offer members free entry, like we did in Newport. However if you are at the show on Thursday Red Carpet VIP day we can meet for lunch at the 2nd floor deck of the Marriot Hotel right beside the show grounds where they have the seminar rooms. If you are in town just that night, plan to get together with us for dinner. Call the office number and leave your cell number for Cathy to pass on to me. I will be at sea for the next two days and may be out of cell phone range.
If you have not paid your annual dues or told me that your “check is in the mail” so I know to keep you active, this will be the last e-mail notice until you let us know you are ready to rejoin and re-activate by sending in your dues. Bookmark the site because we are getting close to announcing some exciting news about even more great sailing opportunities for qualified OPO members.
This winter we are updating our newsletter that will have this new information that you will agree will be a great new offering for OPO members. Call or e-mail if you want to make sure you get a copy this New Year so you take advantage of theses great new sailing opportunities.
In Mid October I will send the latest information about our Swan Program this winter and about the trans-Atlantic Opportunities in June 2008. We still have two berths for a Swan 46 departing in the NARC this fall. If you have your heart set on a berth in the Rally this year, let me know and I will see what we can do to help you get aboard a boat.
